2018 Annual workshop of the European Network of Paediatric Research at the European Medicines Agency (Enpr-EMA): 7–8 JUNE 2018.

The European Network of Paediatric Research at the European Medicines Agency (Enpr-EMA) is a network of research networks, investigators and centres with recognised expertise in performing clinical studies in children.

Enpr-EMA’s main objective is to facilitate studies in order to increase availability of medicinal products authorised for use in the paediatric population.

Enpr-EMA will hold its tenth annual workshop on 7-8 June 2018 at EMA and “An holistic approach to paediatric research” will be the overall theme.

This workshop will bring together relevant stakeholders to discuss requirements, barriers and opportunities for conducting high-quality clinical studies in children and the highlights of this year’s workshop include:

  • Short perspectives of the various stakeholders involved in paediatric research (patient/young people advisory groups, research networks, learned societies, national paediatric associations/societies, ethics committees, regulators, Health Technology Assessment bodies and industry).
  • An interactive general discussion on how to avoid duplication of trials, how to improve communication, how to divide work between groups and on the challenges of clinical trials in (ultra) rare diseases.

The following day is reserved for discussions between the members of Enpr-EMA and its coordinating group that will define priority tasks for 2018–19 based on the feedback received from stakeholders.

Individuals interested in participation have to send the completed registration form  to enprema@ema.europa.eu before 28 May 2018.
